Pavel Dmitriev’s path changed on April 9, 2019, during a sacred psilocybin ceremony that became the defining moment of his life. What began as a single experience became a lifelong commitment. Over the years that followed, he dedicated himself fully to understanding the potential of sacred medicine and its role in personal transformation.

Before founding Mycomysticism, Pavel built a career as a serial entrepreneur. That background shaped his approach: systematic, results-oriented, and built to scale. He has authored 28 books published in multiple languages, including English, Spanish, and Russian. He founded the American Academy of Hypnosis, a consciousness-focused practice that has reached over 150,000 people. He created Mushroom Kung Fu, a discipline integrating body, mind, and spirit through sacred plant work.

In 2023, he formally established the Temple of Mycomysticism as a registered religious organization in the United States. Alongside the church, he launched the Immortality Research Institute to bring scientific rigor to the study of psilocybin-assisted healing.

Pavel operates on a simple principle: everything he has built and earned is in service of this work. He funds the organization’s growth from his own resources and directs all programs on a donation basis. There are no investors to answer to and no commercial pressure shaping the experience.

His role is not to lead but to create the conditions in which others can find their own clarity.
