Temple of Mycomysticism, Inc. is not a medical facility, and our facilitators are not licensed doctors, psychiatrists, or therapists.
Spiritual Nature: All ceremonies, retreats, and counseling provided by The Temple are strictly spiritual and religious in nature. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease, mental disorder, or medical condition.
No Substitute: The content on this website and the guidance offered during programs are not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay in seeking it because of something you have read on this website.
Consult Your Doctor: We strongly recommend that you consult with your primary care physician or mental health professional before participating in any ceremony, especially if you are currently taking prescription medication (particularly SSRIs, MAOIs, or antipsychotics) or have a history of cardiovascular issues.
Religious Protection: The Temple of Mycomysticism is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit religious organization. Our use of entheogenic plants and fungi is conducted solely as a sacrament within a bona fide religious context, protected under the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA) and the Free Exercise Clause of the First Amendment of the United States Constitution.
Not Recreational: We explicitly condemn the recreational use, abuse, or trafficking of controlled substances. Our programs are solemn religious exercises designed for spiritual communion, not for “tripping” or recreational purposes.
Participation in entheogenic ceremonies involves intense psychological and emotional processes. It is not suitable for everyone.
Exclusion Criteria: Individuals with a personal or immediate family history of schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, psychosis, or other severe psychiatric conditions are generally not eligible for participation due to safety risks.
Mandatory Screening: Admission to any program is contingent upon passing a rigorous medical and psychological screening. The Temple reserves the right to deny participation to anyone deemed medically or psychologically unfit by our Safety Team.
By participating in any program offered by The Temple, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with the ingestion of sacramental plants and the ceremonial process.
Release of Liability: You agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless Temple of Mycomysticism, Inc., its Board of Directors, employees, and volunteers from any and all claims, liabilities, or damages arising from your participation, including physical injury, emotional distress, or psychological shifts.
No Guarantees: Spiritual growth is a deeply personal journey. We make no guarantees, representations, or warranties regarding specific outcomes, breakthroughs, or “healing” results.
Personal Responsibility: The “work” continues after the ceremony. Integration is the sole responsibility of the participant, although we provide spiritual support and guidance.
